Creating your own game is simple and fun, and best of all, it’s totally free and doesn’t require a StepBet membership! No fees, no hassle. All you have to do is place your bet, just like when joining any other game.

Here’s how it works:

• Set your game details: Choose a cover photo, title, game code, description, start date, and duration.

• Confirm your game: Review your settings, and when you're ready, click “Create.”

• Invite your crew: Share your game with friends and family using the game code or direct link.

You can either upload your own image or select from 5 pre-made templates. Just make sure your image is:

• Landscape-oriented
• Less than 10 MB (PNG or JPG)
• At least 800x600 pixels in size for the best look!

Nope, emojis are a no-go. Keep your title under 100 characters, your game code between 10-100 characters, and your description under 250 characters—no emojis allowed in any of them.

Your game code is your game’s unique ID! It’s what others can use to find your game by entering the code in the "Enter Game Code" section of the Search tab. Make it fun and memorable!

Your game’s start date must be tomorrow or later. You can choose to run your game for 5, 6, or 7 weeks, depending on what works for you. And don't forget—you can include a warm-up week to ease everyone in, which will count as part of the total duration, not an extra week.

The warm-up week gives players a chance to get into the groove without worrying about disqualification. During this week:

• No one gets disqualified for missing goals.
• New players can join, and current players can exit for a full refund. Opt out of the warm-up week if you want things to get competitive right from the start!

When you create a game, you’ll set a bet amount that players must commit to. The options are $30, $40, $50, or any custom amount over $10. Players who complete their goals will get their full bet back plus a portion of the winnings from players who didn’t make it!

Pro tip: If you set the bet at $40 or higher, your game becomes eligible to appear publicly in the Player Hosted Game tab. Anyone can join your game and contribute to the pot.

Once you click “Create”, be sure to join your game by placing your bet right away! Then, share your game code with friends and family. You’ll have 3 days from your game’s start date to recruit at least one more player—if not, the game will be canceled, and you’ll receive a full refund.

No problem! You’ll still see your game under the Player Hosted tab, but it’ll be visible only to you. Just remember—you can’t invite others until you’ve joined the game by placing your bet.

Player hosted games are public, so 100% of the pot isn’t available. StepBet reserves 15% for app development and fees. However, if all players win, StepBet doesn’t keep the 15%, and everyone receives their full bet back.

Games containing inappropriate content, such as profanity or offensive images, will be removed. Please ensure your game follows these guidelines.

No, player hosted games follow a set pattern: 4 active days, 2 power days, and 1 rest day per week. This cannot be changed.

Yes, non-members, including your friends, family, and colleagues, can join your game without needing a StepBet membership.

You can play up to 3 player hosted games at the same time, in addition to your StepBet games. Members can play up to 9 games total (6 StepBet games + 3 player hosted games), while non-members can play up to 6 games (3 StepBet games + 3 player hosted games).

You can host and participate in up to 3 games at once. If you’d like to create additional games, you’ll need to wait until one of your current games ends.

If you’re hosting a company game and need to access the list of players, winners, or disqualified players, you can request this by emailing us at support@stepbet.com.

To make your game public, it must meet the following criteria:

• The bet amount must be $40 or more.
• You must include a cover photo and description.

Once you confirm and join your game, it will be submitted for review by our Referees. Once approved, it will be marked as public.
